What are Game Advisors?
Game Advisors (GAs) are WFDF-certified officials who play a unique role at selected Ultimate events. Unlike referees, GAs do not make calls for players. Instead, their primary role is to support players in self-officiating, ensuring that the game is played fairly, efficiently, and in the spirit of the rules. Players remain fully responsible for making and resolving all calls on the field.

Why Game Advisors Matter
‍The presence of GAs enhances the playing experience by:

• Helping players apply the rules correctly and consistently.
• Improving the pace and flow of the game.
• Providing clear communication and neutral perspectives in contested situations.
• Strengthening the legitimacy and professionalism of Ultimate in competitive environments.

WFDF x SFDA Collaboration
SFDA works closely with the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) to train and certify Game Advisors locally. By building a pool of trained GAs in Singapore, our community benefits from:

• Exposure to international standards of officiation.
• Opportunities to compete in events with GAs present, preparing athletes for major international tournaments.
• Development of a recognised officiating pathway that contributes to the growth and credibility of Ultimate in Singapore.
