Introducing the Singapore Flying Disc Association (SFDA)

We are excited to announce that the Ultimate Players Association (Singapore), or UPA(S), has officially adopted a new name: the Singapore Flying Disc Association (SFDA).

This change marks an important step forward for the Association as we continue to grow and develop the flying disc community in Singapore. Here’s why we made the change:

1. Alignment with Our NSA Roles and Responsibilities
   As the National Sports Association (NSA) for flying disc sports in Singapore, the new name better reflects our formal role in overseeing and advancing the sport at a national level.
   
   
2. A Holistic Reflection of Our Role
   SFDA encapsulates the broader scope of our work, emphasizing that we serve the entire flying disc community and not just a single discipline or group.
   
   
3. Unity Across Disciplines
   The name "Singapore Flying Disc Association" symbolizes inclusivity, bringing together the diverse disciplines under our NSA, from Ultimate Frisbee to Disc Golf and beyond.
   
   

While the name has changed, our commitment to fostering the growth, accessibility, and excellence of flying disc sports in Singapore remains steadfast. We look forward to continuing this journey with our community under this new banner.
